About the Conference
Indo Russian Cooperation in space has been marked by a close and strategic partnership. India, by recognizing the role of technology, specifically the space technology in the betterment of human lives, launched its own space programme in which Russia has been key and close supporter since the beginning. Since the inception of the Indian Space Program, Russia (then USSR) has actively supported Indian space program and provided it with both technical expertise and logistic support. Right from first India’s first unmanned satellite (Aryabhatta) in 1975 to sending first Indian to Outerspace (Wg Cmdr. Rakesh Sharma) aboard a Soyuz T-10 in 1984, Indo Russian Cooperation has reached several pinnacles together. Today, Russia and India harbor similar ambitions to journey deeper into space and both recognize they can forge a robust partnership to explore and unearth the endless possibilities of outer space.

India Russia Space Dialogue 2023 aims to revisit the historic milestones in this cooperation journey, identify key moments, analyse the learnings from this bilateral cooperation and chart out the future roadmap of collaboration on various avenues in this current Geopolitical scenario. With the vision of being an annual event, the first edition of India Russia Space Dialogue is jointly organized by Russian House New Delhi and Aviakul Private Limited on 15 April 2022 at the premises of Russian Centre for Science and Culture (RCSC), New Delhi, India.
